Hotel accommodation can be reserved in Umhlanga through the intermediary of Turners Conferences who have secured preferred rates for participants. All rates quoted on the hotel booking form are in South African Rands and are per room and per night, breakfast, 15% VAT and 1% TOMSA Levy are included. The hotel category should be indicated on the hotel booking form. Please also indicate which other category we should book in case the chosen one is fully booked. Please note City Lodge Umhlanga Ridge & Holiday Inn Express Durban Umhlanga are within close proximity to the Coastlands Hotel Umhlanga.
To reserve your accommodation at selected property or hotel, please submit the Online Booking Form. We request you indicate which alternate property/hotel or category we should book in case the chosen one is fully booked. On submission of your online form you will automatically receive an email response confirming that your forms has been received.

All hotel reservations will be confirmed to you in writing with the name of the hotel, the type of accommodation booked, the arrival and departure dates, the rate, and the deposit required. This will be accompanied by an invoice and request for payment.
Full payment is required within seven (7) days after receipt of the invoice. Payment may be processed either by electronic bank transfer or by Master, Visa, American Express or Diners Club credit card. Full details appear on the booking form.
All incidentals charged to room account need to be settled prior to departure from hotel.
For all group bookings (10 rooms or more), 50% deposit to be paid on receipt of the first invoice, the outstanding 50% deposit to be settled thirty (30) days prior to the start of the conference.
Turners can assist with booking a daily return shuttle from hotels to Coastlands Hotel Umhlanga, Durban. Please send email to Deveena Naicker: deveena@tcon.org.za. Alternate options are you can contact the hotel concierge desk ad request for a meter taxi or utilise Uber.
Cancellations must be submitted to Turners Conferences in writing. You may cancel your reservation up to 16th May 2025 with a full refund of your deposit paid less an administration fee of ZAR115.00.
Reservations cancelled after 16th May 2025 will attract the following cancellation penalties:
- 60 – 31 Days – 50% Cancellation fees apply
- 30 – 0 Days – 100% Cancellation fees apply
An amendment fee of ZAR115.00 applies to all changes made to confirmed reservations after 01st July 2025
Should you reduce the length of your stay upon arrival at the hotel, the hotel will charge cancellation fees for the nights that you will no longer be using.
