Registration for the FDCR Forum Meeting is compulsory, although free of charge. This is to enable logistical arrangements relating to the venue and catering.

The FDCR Forum Meeting will be a general meeting to discuss matters relating to the FDCR Platform implementation, including its focus areas/domains, projects, governance, future conferences, human capital development, etc. While the Meeting will be open to anyone, it is expected that all FDCR-funded students and their supervisors, the domain leads, and representatives from the Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (CAIR), South African National Blockchain Alliance (SANBA), the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research’s (CSIR) Contract Management team and the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation’s (DSTI) Contract Management team, will attend.

How to register

Please click on the link below and complete the online registration. Please tick each of the events that you intend to attend.

Attendees are required to register by no later than 15 June 2025 via the website for organising purposes.

Delegate registration fee includes:

  • Access to attend both the FDCR and the South African Institute of Computer Scientists and Information Technologists (SAICSIT) Conference sessions
  • Access to the FDCR peripheral events (Workshops, Tutorials; Student Day; Forum Meeting & Cocktail Function) – prior online registration for each event is compulsory
  • Catering – Lunch and refreshments
  • A ticket to the Gala Dinner (please note the additional fee for partners)

Registration does not cover:

  • Special catering requirements for Halaal meals. These are available at a surcharge of R700.00 per person meal
  • Access to the FDCR Forum meeting and cocktail event (separate registration is required although it is free)
  • Any other items not mentioned

Payment

All registration fees are quoted in South African Rands (ZAR) and include 15% VAT. Payment should be made according to the procedure described during the registration process. Major credit cards or bank transfers are accepted.

When processing your payment by bank draft please allow sufficient funds to cover bank charges otherwise these will reflect as a short payment and show as a balance on your account.

The final date for bank transfers is 10 July 2025. Please email a copy of your bank transfer to Leanne@tcon.org.za and use your surname and invoice number as a reference.

Credit Card Payments

When opting to process payment by credit card, please click on the pay now button. Please use your unique invoice number and your surname as reference when initiating payment.

Cancellation Policy

The Conference Secretariat must be notified in writing of any cancellations. All approved refunds will be issued after Conference. An administration fee of R450.00 will be charged for all cancellations received on or before the 31 May 2025.  Please note that no refunds can be made for cancellations after 31 May 2025. Please contact Leanne Armoogam (leanne@tcon.org.za) should you wish to cancel your registration.
